Dr. Kessiena Aya is a fellowship-trained, board-eligible orthopedic spine surgeon now proudly serving as part of the Rejuv Medical team. Specializing in minimally invasive and outpatient-based cervical and lumbar procedures, Dr. Aya is dedicated to providing comprehensive care for conditions like degenerative spine diseases, spinal deformities, sports-related injuries, nerve compression injuries, and traumatic fractures. She is skilled in advanced techniques, including free-hand, fluoroscopic, and navigation-based instrumentation for the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine.
With prior experience at Inspired Spine, Dr. Aya brings to Rejuv Medical her expertise in MISS (minimally invasive spine surgery) solutions and advanced pain management techniques, including neuroaxis injections and spinal cord stimulation. Her training includes specialized spine surgery fellowships, where she honed her abilities in both surgical and non-operative approaches to complex spinal conditions.
Dr. Aya is a graduate of Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine and also holds a Master’s in Chemical and Environmental Toxicology, with published research experience. Actively involved in the North American Spine Society, Dr. Aya remains committed to multidisciplinary, patient-centered care as she supports the mission of Rejuv Medical to offer innovative, regenerative orthopedic care.
