Hello, I'm Dr. Joel Baumgartner, M.D. from Rejuv Medical. Ouch arthritis! So you have all heard of the word Arthritis; but what is Arthritis? Arthritis is basically wear and tear of your joints, whether it's you back, your knees, or your neck. Where does it come from? Arthritis comes from a lot of different things; usually it's from chronic wear and tear of that joint, whether it's an old injury from back 20 years ago or a car accident in the recent past. Arthritis develops because when you injure a joint you create some instability, which eventually leads to the breakdown of that joint. At Rejuv Medical we do things to actually improve the stability of your joint, repair the cartilage, and regenerate that joint as opposed to just covering up the pain.

Arthritis Concerns

Some of the most common symptoms of arthritis would be pain, stiffness, and inflammation. These symptoms are usually caused by degenerative arthritis (osteoarthritis). Other types of arthritis include rheumatoid arthritis and gout. There are over 100 types of arthritis.  No matter which type of arthritis you have, you need an accurate diagnosis before your doctor can recommend a program for treatment.
