Tired of covering up your legs and using makeup to camouflage your face? Eliminate veins without painful injections! Rejuv Medical safely and effectively treats both tiny, superficial facial veins as well as small and larger leg veins.
The CoolGlide laser combines the ideal laser wavelength with the most flexible options to deliver the best vascular treatment on the market. This allows treatment of a broad range of vessels from tiny spider veins to deep blue reticular veins quickly, safely and effectively. Clients can experience outstanding results without bruising, blistering or scarring.
The CoolGlide laser delivers energy that causes the blood within the vein to coagulate. The vessel is then slowly absorbed by the body and gradually disappears. Blood flow will then be redirected to viable, healthy veins.
CoolGlide systems can remove unsightly veins from all parts of the body. Small, facial veins (or “telangiectasia”) can be treated quickly without bruising or complication. Spider veins and large blue leg veins can also be treated with excellent resu lts. However, “knotty” varicose veins are not good candidates. A careful evaluation at your consultation will allow us to determine the best course of treatment.
At your consultation, we will advise you on the best course of action, but many clients prefer laser vein therapy to painful injections. Sclerotherapy is often unable to treat the small vessels that the CoolGlide laser can eliminate in a matter of seconds.
Blood blisters, or hemangiomas (which appear as small red “moles”), respond very well to laser vein therapy, often with just one treatment. Clients with port wine stains and other vascular lesions that have given up on finding a solution have been overwhelmed by the success of their CoolGlide vascular treatments.
Most clients experience a quick snap or stinging sensation as the pulses of energy are delivered through the handpiece. After the pulse, most clients do not experience any residual sensation.
Although many clients report few if any side effects, those most commonly noticed are slight reddening and local swelling of the skin. These effects typically last for less than 24 hours. Some clients may experience bruising and, in rare instances, blistering may occur. When larger veins are treated, a tan or brownish pigment may persist for a few weeks or months following treatment. We will discuss all risks and benefits with you thoroughly at your consultation.
Clients generally resume most normal activities immediately. However, it is recommended that you avoid strenuous exercise and hot tubs or saunas for the first 72 hours after treatment. Additionally, we may recommend the use of support hose for a short time following your treatment. The use of sunscreen is recommended on any treated areas exposed to the sun. As always, it is a good idea to limit your sun exposure.
Improvement will be seen with one treatment, but most areas require a minimum of two treatments. However, the number of treatments necessary depends on the number, color and size of the vessels being treated.
Most clients find that the majority of the treated veins have shown significant improvement within two to six weeks of treatment. However, with larger vessels, your final results may not be apparent for several months.
Over time, it is possible for new veins to appear, but these too can be removed with future laser treatment.
